I feel bad that I wasn't able to get out an actually scary story in time for Halloween this year. To make it up to you, I'm going to do something fairly quick, but still hopefully fun: a list of 10 pieces of scary media I would personally recommend. I might not include some of the most popular pieces of horror media, but these are just the things I feel deserve recognition. I'll include the name, its type of media, its owner, the year it came out or ran if it's a TV show, a brief synopsis, and my feelings. #1: Phantom of the Megaplex (movie, Disney, 2000) Pete Riley works at a 26 screen megaplex. The place is getting ready for a premier screening of Midnight Mayhem, but someone is trying to sabotage the event. Everyone's blaming the supposed "phantom" who is in the megaplex. So now Pete has to save the premier. I won't say this film is amazing, but it's got some early 2000's charm to it, from the insane situations to some truly cheesy performances. In a small workshop somewhere in the Beverly Hills area, a most unusual figure was working on a most unusual project. The woman was wearing a simple black dress, black opera gloves, black heels, and a black veil over her face. All the black was offset by her vibrant pink hair. "Ah, Halloween. The time everyone gets to wear a costume. But costumes can be worn anytime. But my dresses? Worn once, then left to rot in closets." The woman muttered. "Well, if they want to value one outfit over another, then-" "Wera, your villain ranting again." Another voice replied as they walked into the woman workshop. This figure had a more elegant black dress with a red-and-black cape, black thigh high boots, and a pair of plastic fangs. Her face was a pale white, but that was just her make-up 24/7. These two were Wera Vann and Vanity, a pair of villains with bizarre motivations and bizarre plots. The first thing Akiza felt as she regained consciousness was the cold stone underneath her. As she slowly opened her eyes, she saw quite a bit of rubble around her, and a broken railing. It was then she remembered she was still in the Arcadia building, still wrecked after her duel with... She suddenly remembered everything. Misty's words, the enormous lizard monster, the feeling of being skewered by some kind of darkness. By all rights, she should be dead. But that voice... "You've awoken. Wonderful." A voice called out. The same one she heard before. "If you want to know who I am, I advise looking down in front of you." Doing so, Akiza saw a card. It was the lizard monster Misty had summoned. Charting islands was Captain Cayden's job. Sail around the various islands of the planet, find any islands that nobody has heard of yet, and explore. Once done, the island gets a name, and people get to fight over who owns it. Today's trip should have been no different. The island had been found via helicopter. It was massive, and yet no one seemed to have been able to find it until now. And that's where Cayden entered the picture. As she led her ship, the Pollux, to the island, she wondered just what she was going to find on the island. ----- After making landfall on the island, Cayden had her crew remain on the ship to do some satellite imaging, while Cayden herself would enter the island's jungle to find out if it was dangerous or not. Cayden was expecting to see things like wild animals or unique flora. She was not expecting a giant female being with three heads. 20 feet tall and with a large figure, the being's three heads possessed solid yellow-orange eyes and greenish hair.
